avoid hitting events twice in an aspxsplitter with an aspxtreeview

Hi. I have master page that contains a aspxsplitter and inside an asptreeview (devexpress controls).

The problem i am facing is that when i click on a node, the child page will hit it's events twice. This has probably todo that there is the mainplaceholder, that the child page is inside, also inside the splitter control. This make the page fire, (when i click on a treeview node), twice. I suspect it will fire once for the click that does a postback and then will fire again for the click of the node. Can you provide with any idea on how i could just fire the treeview click node?

Thanks.
