Enabling SMTP email

Hi i have been having a problem with emails in my project.

I want a number of emails sent out for different things, like once a user has registered, send an email to them. I have done the configuration part of asp.

I keep getting the same error everytime:

Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated.

Now i have set my webconfig to:

I am using live instead of Gmail

<smtp from "myemail">

<Network Host ="smtp.live.com password="password" port="587"

username="myemail" enablessl="true">

</smtp>

I have tried many time but cannot find a solution.

Is there anyone who can guide me, thanks
