Loading GridView rows on scroll down?

I am trying to implement this article .. http://www.go4coding.com/post/2011/04/11/Auto-loading-content-on-page-scroll-in-aspnet-using-jquery.aspx  I downloaded it and it was working just fine untill i tried to make a UserControl out of it.

I added this the Control to a WebForm but no rows are getting loaded on scrolling down. Clicking on "Get More Records Button" Give me an error saying "Input string was not in a correct format. " I dont understand why its not working when its used a UserControl. Let me know if you also want to see my UserControl Code. Thanks.
